With my sisters
Janet will always have a special place in my heart. With her help, I was able to find light during the darkest time of my life. I had a very difficult and painful break-up with my boyfriend and battled depression. Before I met Janet, I went through two other therapists but could not connect with them. Then my friend recommended Janet. She helped me find my spirit and face my challenges. Aside from the depression, I also had a learning disability and Janet worked with me almost daily to help me pass my exams. Janet knew I needed her; she stayed with me. She believed in me and encouraged me every step of the way.
Janet also taught me about “positive feeling.” She introduced me to a book by Lynn Grabhorn and her teachings on positivity. Through this and Janet’s help, I overcame my depression. I was able to wean off my medication. And the positive feelings kept coming. I finished my training. Found a great and stable job. I met my wonderful husband and now I am a mother of two beautiful girls. I have so many more great things to say about Janet – I could write a book on this subject alone. I highly recommend her to anyone who is looking for a dedicated, committed and amazing therapist and life coach.

I started seeing Janet at a point in my life when I was trying to figure out if I should continue dating the man I had been seeing for almost seven years. I was in my late twenties and was desperately seeking to get married and start a family. Unfortunately, my then boyfriend said he wanted the same thing but his actions proved contradictory. I was frustrated, sad and had lost confidence in my future. Janet had a beautiful way of being able to listen to me, validate my feelings and gently lead me to feel confident about the decisions I was facing. She never pushed me in any direction, but rather gave me the tools to feel completely safe and no longer scared of making the changes I knew I had to. I always left her office feeling a sense of happiness, relief and motivation.
Leaving that relationship took some time and work, but eventually I was able to walk away. After that I had the opportunity to date many wonderful men. Janet then helped me to sort out the different qualities in each man that I really needed and wanted. A few months later I found my now husband. It was with her help, along with prayer and lots of pondering, that I was able to first free myself of someone who wasn’t offering what I wanted and then recognize the qualities in a man that would make me truly happy. I feel blessed to have found my wonderful husband, and we just had our first baby girl. Janet was a tremendous help in getting me to where I am now. I am incredibly grateful to have met her and worked with her.

Letters from clients~
I feel so grateful that our paths crossed. You have been such an instrument for healing my spirit. Your wisdom, grace, honesty, humor, sensitivity, compassion and love have allowed me to BE completely. Thank you, Janet, from the bottom of my heart, for the gift of YOU!
I miss seeing your smiling face. They say the simple things in life…the smile you would send me away with held a lot of feeling, power, love and had “staying power.” I do miss you. Thank you for being part of my life for a while!
Just a note to say how much I appreciate you as a therapist. I feel so much wisdom and caring emanate from you. You seem to have such a sense for zeroing in on what’s needed in the moment. Probably the thing that for me is most crucial about your style is that you are an active therapist. You don’t mind naming what you see and you don’t hold back from pushing us. I know I need this kind of help. Thank you!
Thank you so much for helping along my journey. You have been one of the most steady and inspirational people in my life. You are such a wonderful person to give of your heart, life and time to other people. You are very good at this.
I love you for your gentleness and open heart. I’m really going to miss you.
I want to thank you for all that you’ve done for me in therapy. With your help I have confronted my demons and discovered my angels. And with your help my insurance company sent me a big check!
Thank you for all your support and laughter. I’m so happy to have you in my life. You make a difference. Thank you for your patience, good humor and intelligent help.
I wanted you to know that today’s session/ conversation completely changed my world view. All subsequent interactions in my day went down so smoothly, so perfectly that I knew God’s hand was guiding me – through you. You are my spiritual guide and – to add icing on the “cupcake” – so very human and warm. What a perfect package! Thank you for helping me reach happiness.
Thank you for your ears and thank you for your heart.
When I think of Mother’s Day it only feels right to send a card to you. You’ve been like a second mother to me. Your kindness and love have been so healing. I appreciate you more than you could know.
When it was suggested that I see someone for help last summer I was very reluctant. My spiritual director told me that just the right person was here for me, a sweet and loving, open-hearted woman who would help me so much. And here you are! At the beginning I would sit outside the building and cry on the phone to her, begging not to go in. Did you know that? It didn’t take long though, to know that under different circumstances we would be the greatest friends. Perhaps we have met before, in a different life? I am so fully aware and grateful of the grace of being led to you. When I spoke of you recently to my spiritual director, she said “she is a beautiful woman, so kind and open, so loving to all those she helps.” What else is there to say?
I just want you to know how much I appreciate you and the things that you do for me. Each day I come in and am comforted just by your presence. You go above and beyond your job. You must truly love what you do because it shows. I do not feel like just another client. You make me feel special. You listen with such a compassionate heart.
A letter from my sister~
I’m really proud of you and how you’ve carved out your own practice, reflecting your core values and beliefs, in the field. It’s easy to spoof therapists, to think of the cliches we’re all familiar with or to associate therapy with the landslide of self help books out there. But you are a professional and you stand for what is right and good in your profession. I’m so proud to tell people what you do. You’re all about integrity and clarity and making connections between people.
